It is an interesting program but the dictionary doesn't have some words i need.

How do you make it unscramble letters to make more than just one word, for example: TWEING- all it came up with was twinge, when there are more words it ca make from it

go to www.concordance.com...they have an awesome unscrambler which is designed for on-line use. if you need it for off-line use, a 5 dollar Scrabble disc has everything you probably need. don't download this crap

The readme file is absolutely useless. It doesn't teach the most important thing - how to search words. And whenever I try to find a word, the program automatically closes.

I haven't tried this software so I have no clue if it works but the majority of the comments submitted to this page make me feel that this isn't worth a crap.I have a cheat I use in Literati that I downloaded as a trial version that you had to pay $20 for after you had used the program for a week but like so many things on the internet that should be free but isn't I found a way around the paying for it and I get the cheat for free and it was so simple to do.Alot of people actually pay $20 for a cheat to use to play online games.People the knowledge is out there all you have to do is find it and read it almost everything online you now have to pay for that WAS once free and the key to it all is numbers and letters so if you are good at math then use numbers and if you are good at spelling then use letters,either way the smart & determined one's will try and put forth the effort the one's who are dumb or to lazy or who would rather pay will never see the light at the end of the tunnel,which is everything that you have to pay for online is free somehow to sum it up but people pay for it anyways.Alot of the programs I use would cost me $100's of dollars but I used my brain and I enjoy it and I keep my $ in my bank account and let it draw % instead of paying it to some online bigshot who thinks he can always make people pay for a free thing!

How do you go about adding a different Dictionary to the program I love it it works great for me but some words it cant unscramble.

Holy crap people... Peter is offering this thing for FREE. He's not making you pay money for it only to find out that you don't like it. The download is 718K which takes 5 minutes on a slow dialup connection. Download it for FREE. If you don't like it, instead of coming on here and telling Peter that his software "sucks ass," say "thanks for letting me try out your software... It's not for me." It's not like it's a 100 megs and takes 2 days to download... let's show a little appreciation!

Well, to tell you the truth, Bran8888 offers Literati Pro, which is an awesome program...and FREE. his site is on Geo Cities. I would rather hear people tell the truth than to sugarcoat the truth and then find out on your own....save some of the grief and time on the net.

And if people want to complain about something you want to give away, tell them to go pick up a book, learn to program, then make it better. Wow, I am glad to see programmers like you, actually makeing a program then sharing it with the whole world. There are only a few minor things you can do to make it better, the script is all good. Awesome program! Been using Words since the old Dos version in 2000! I just found version 2.0 for windows. The only suggestion I could possibly make for this first-class piece of software is to please default the enter key to the relevant 'Findword' or 'unscramble' rather than closing the program. I have a habit of pressing the enter key after keying in a word only to close the program and having to go through the hassle of making the program load all over again. Keep up the great work!

hello there ! just saw all earlier comments ! . lets see, loved the program, and loved it even more coz its FREE (thats how things should be on the net!). anyhows, like the example above TWEING can come up with "twinge", but amongst the alphabets, u can also make words like "get","tie","wing","win","wet", and so on and so forth. could you please include this feature in your next version, whereby you can unscramble words from the alphabets and some are left over? this would REALLY help me with Scrabble !! love the program btw!

I would like to make a possible suggestoin on any future updates. Can you make it so that the program can find all words possible when given a number of letters? For example: Take the word thanksgiving, type it in, and have the program find all of the words that can be made from the letters in thanksgiving. Not just unscrambling, but finding any other words inside as well....that would make for some good scrabble playing, and other things such as home games, etc. I've been trying to find a program to do this for awhile, and this one here is the closest I've come.

Superb, life saver, I cannot describe how much easier this has made my kids life(and hence mine!!!) Finding free things on the net as useful as this is indeed VERY RARE.

Hi, this program is great except i needed a lottle more from it, i needed something that could come up with all the possible words from a set of letters (ex : "warspe" would give "are", "war", "wasp", "wars" etc.. ) So i programed myself a little application which adds this little feature. If anyone would be interested in it let me know and i will post it somewhere.

Very nice work... I used this on my desktop win98 computer. I found however that the program loads and runs VERY fast on modern day machines. Well done! The program is very nice, I like what you have done. For a free program, it certainly is a very usable tool. I would say that for the next version, it might be worthwhile to include multiple dictionary loading schemes, or maybe fixing the enter bug would be nice... Overall very nice program, it has my favor. btw, it absolutely pwns for crossword puzzles.

Maybe a year ago I downloaded this program for Text Twist, it worked GREAT! Having a problem with updated version, only get one word instead of a list of optional words. I use this program for bible college. The only draw back is there is no way to add words that aren't in dictionaries like people's name. You need to update this program where words can be added. Words like. trenitaprinote. it might be two words. This program also doesn't unscramble long words like the one I posted here.
